The scent of Old Bay floated in the air mixing with good tunes and a sense of community as St. John in Westminster hosted more than 200 people to its annual crab feast, sponsored by Westminster Council 1393 Knights of Columbus, Aug. 10.

Atlantic Caterers steamed up 19 bushels of crab for feasters in addition to a selection of fare that included pit beef, fried chicken, Italian sausage, Maryland crab soup and cold beer.

In addition, the Knights of Columbus picked up two new members and a transfer.

“People saw how much fun we have,” deputy grand knight Bill Adams said. “When they see all the stuff that we do they say, ‘Hey, I need to join this organization.’”
