Join us for a day of Convent Hopping, on Saturday, March 14th, when we will tour area Convents to help young girls, ages 11 thru 17, develop a greater understanding of the beauty of living the consecrated life as well as an appreciation of Baltimore's rich Catholic tradition and culture. This is a wonderful opportunity for girls to spend some time with holy women, who answered the call to dedicate all of their lives to Christ, some through educating children, others through serving the disadvantaged elderly and others through serving poorest of the poor. Amidst these experiences, there will be time for the girls to discern what Christ has planned for their lives. It will truly be a beautiful day.
Here is the proposed schedule:
• 8:45 - 10:00 Visit with the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecelia, at Mt. DeSales Academy, 700 Academy Rd, Catonsville;
• 10:30- 2:00 Visit with the Little Sisters of the Poor as well as several other religious orders at St Martins Home, 601 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville (Mass at 11 a.m.);
• 2:45-5:00 Visit with Missionaries of Charity (Holy Hour at 3 p.m.) at Gift of Hope, 818 N Collington Ave, Baltimore (Fr. Jim Sorra will lead Benediction)
This event is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Baltimore Vocations Committee. Each attendee is asked to bring $10 for lunch and a donation for the sisters.
Please RSVP by March 7th. Permission slips will be emailed by the 11th to be filled out and returned the day of the event. For more information or to register, please contact
