On March 30, Gianna Emanuela Molla, daughter of St. Gianna Molla, will be speaking at St. Paul’s in Ellicott City. Gianna is visiting from Italy to increase devotion to her mother, and to raise funds for a shrine for her mother in Ponte Nuovo, Italy, where St. Gianna lived and prayed. Gianna will speak at 7PM, and there will be an opportunity for Adoration and Veneration of Relics of St. Gianna starting at 6PM, one hour before her talk. To increase knowledge of St. Gianna Molla’s heroic life prior to the visit of her daughter, St. Paul’s has obtained permission to screen a movie on the life of St. Gianna on March 16 at 7PM in the Center for the New Evangelization at St. Paul’s. Archbishop Lori has approved the visit and the fundraising and writes: “I hope that the visit of Gianna Emanuela Molla will inspire many people to learn about and emulate this modern-day saint and give their lives to God in a deeper way.”
